ATHENS, Georgia, Jan. 14 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Southern Regional Field Office issued the following news release:
US winter wheat seeded area for 2020 is expected to total 30.8 million acres, down 1 percent from 2019. Alabama seedings are estimated at 185,000 acres, an increase of 42 percent from last year.
Georgia seedings are estimated at 160,000 acres, a 7 percent increase from 2019.
