WASHINGTON, Jan. 9 -- Sen. Benjamin Cardin, D-Maryland, ranking Democratic member of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, issued the following statement after the Senate voted 88-5 to confirm U.S. Treasurer Jovita Carranza as the Administrator of the Small Business Administration:
