WASHINGTON, Dec. 17 -- Rep. Bill Foster, D-Illinois, issued the following statement after the House passed two spending packages covering all 12 appropriations bills for fiscal year 2020:
"This bipartisan appropriations agreement is a massive improvement over the original budget proposed by the Trump Administration. House Democrats were able to secure critical investments in public health, early childhood education, election security, and environmental protections.
