CHICAGO, Illinois, Dec. 4 -- Feeding America issued the following statement by Chief Government Relations Officer Kate Leone:
"The final rule released today by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will take away food assistance from nearly 700,000 people. The Feeding America network of food banks knows that for people who are struggling to make ends meet, this is exactly the wrong direction. By USDA's own estimates, this harmful policy will cut $1.1 billion each y . . .
