ATLANTA, Georgia, Dec. 3 -- The Georgia Public Service Commission issued the following news release:
This year, both Atlanta Gas Light and Georgia Power asked the Georgia Public Service Commission to increase rates on natural gas and electricity respectively. Despite significantly high rate hike requests, analyses by the PSC staff maintained that Georgia Power's ask was too high and Atlanta Gas Light didn't need a rate increase all - and in fact was more suited to a reduction.
