MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Alabama, Nov. 26 -- The U.S. Air Force (42nd Air Base Wing) issued the following news:

Maj. Jay B. Doerfler, Air Command and Staff College student, won the 2018 Lt. Col. Anthony C. Shine Fighter Pilot Award for his service as squadron assistant director of operations at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2018 on Nov. 18, 2019, at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
