Rep. Raskin Issues Statement on Metrobus Transit Strike in Virginia

WASHINGTON, Nov. 21 -- Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Maryland, issued the following statement on the 29th day of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 689 strike in Virginia:

"I am concerned about the lengthy Metrobus worker strike and labor dispute regarding the unequal treatment of Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) full-time employees and Transdev-contracted employees.

"It is my understanding that Transdev-contracted employees drive the same WMATA . . .
