A teen who ages out of the foster care system is eight times more likely to become homeless than to earn a bachelor's degree.
Think about that.
In fact, it is rare to attend a college commencement and find many graduates who spent time in foster care as only 3% who age out of the foster care system will go on to earn a degree. Increasing the graduation rate becomes even more difficult i . . .
