WASHINGTON, Nov. 7 -- Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, issued the following statement after Senate Democrats walked away from negotiations to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act and Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, announced her intent to introduce legislation to extend the law:
