WASHINGTON, Nov. 1 -- The Alliance for American Manufacturing issued the following statement by President Scott Paul:
Manufacturing employment dropped in October, with the sector losing 36,000 jobs, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Friday. The bulk of the job loss occurred in motor vehicles and parts, which lost 41,000 jobs.
