WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 -- Rep. Billy Long, R-Missouri, issued the following statement regarding his vote on House Democrats impeachment inquiry resolution:

"On January 20, 2017, the day President Trump took office, the Washington Post's headline read, 'The Campaign to Impeach President Trump has Begun.' Since that day, Democrats have clearly expressed a desire to impeach our duly-elected president and have relentlessly pursued a path to impeachment by any means necessary.
