AKRON, Ohio, Oct. 25 -- Akron Public Schools issued the following news:
State Sens. Vernon Sykes (D-District 28) and Kristina Roegner (R-District 27) recognized Connor Harris and Chika Nkwocha for receiving awards at the NAACP National Afro-American Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO).
Harris, a student at Firestone Community Learning Center in West Akron, won a bronze medal for his research on the EPHA6 gene mutation and its correlation to colorect . . .
