WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 -- Rep. Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, issued the following news release:
Today the House voted to pass HR 2513, the Corporate Transparency Act.
The bill, introduced by Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and cosponsored by Reps. Peter King (R-NY) and Gregory Meeks (D-NY), is intended to prevent terrorists and criminals from using shell companies to hide their identities by collecting personal data of owners and investors of businesses with fewer than 20 employees . . .
