TALLAHASSEE, Florida, Oct. 18 -- Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Florida, issued the following news release:
Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the Pensacola area added 800 new private-sector jobs in the past year. The area's unemployment rate was 2.9 percent in September, down 0.2 percentage point from one year ago.
The industries with the highest growth over the year in the Pensacola area were education and health services and leisure and hospitality each with 900 new jobs. . . .
