Sen. Brown Issues Statement on UAW, GM Tentative Contract Agreement

WASHINGTON, Oct. 17 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following statement as details of the tentative contract agreement between United Automobile Workers and General Motors were released and the UAW ratification process is set to begin:
"I've walked the picket lines with UAW members in Parma and Toledo and I know how much is at stake for them in this contract negotiation.
"I trust UAW members to make the decision that's best for them and I in no way . . .
