WASHINGTON, Oct. 17 -- Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Maryland, chairman of the House Oversight subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, issued the following statement on the death of his Maryland colleague and Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland:
