WASHINGTON, Oct. 17 -- Rep. Robert E. Latta, R-Ohio, issued the following statement on the death of Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland:
"Elijah Cummings dedicated his life to public service and was a strong advocate for his constituents in Baltimore and the surrounding area.
