RALEIGH, North Carolina, Oct. 15 -- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association issued the following news:
Shaw University director of athletics Dr. Alfonza L. Carter has announced the resignation of head men's basketball coach Joel Hopkins.
"I want to thank Coach Hopkins for all he has done to advance the Shaw University men's basketball program," said Carter. We certainly wish Coach Hopkins and his family all the best.
