Sen. Baldwin Issues Statement on PFAS Chemicals Detected in Wisconsin Surface Waters

WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 -- Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wisconsin, issued the following statement after the Wisconsin Natural Resources Department's announcement that high concentrations of chemicals containing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances were detected in surface waters in Dane and Monroe counties:
"The dangerous levels of PFAS recently detected in Wisconsin surface waters are alarming and warrant serious action. PFAS chemicals pose a dangerous risk to public health and our environ . . .
