WACO, Texas, Oct. 7 -- The American Football Coaches Association issued the following news:
Minnesota State used a dominating performance to beat conference rival and then-No. 12 Minnesota-Duluth, 52-7. The loss, which was the fifth one in a row against the Mavericks, dropped the Bulldogs 11 spots to No. 23. Minnesota State keeps their No. 3 spot in the AFCA Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll and moves their record to 5-0.
Valdosta State (Ga.) remains No. 1 after a 42-17 . . .
