WACO, Texas, Oct. 7 -- The American Football Coaches Association issued the following news:
Marian (Ind.) used a stingy defense and a dominate run game to upset then-No. 3 Saint Francis (Ind.), 28-10. The win vaulted Marian to No. 3 in this week's AFCA NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll. That wasn't the only Top 5 upset as Grand View (Iowa) took down then-No. 2 Benedictine (Kan.), 27-6, allowing the Vikings to jump to No. 5.
