WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 -- The Ocean Conservancy issued the following statement by Director of Government Relations Jeff Watters in response to passage of the South Florida Clean Coastal Waters Act (H.R. 335) to direct the Inter-Agency Task Force on Harmful Algal Blooms and Hypoxia to assess potential approaches to reduce harmful algal blooms in South Florida and submit a plan, based on that assessment, for reducing, mitigating, and controlling harmful algal blooms in the region:
