WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 -- Rep. Greg Walden, R-Oregon, ranking Republican member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, issued the following joint statement with John Shimkus, R-Illinois, ranking Republican member of the Subcommittee on Environment and Climate Change, applauding the passage of the Nuclear Waste Policy Amendments Act (H.R. 2699) at the subcommittee markup of 15 environment bills:
