WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 -- Rep. Bradley Byrne, R-Alabama, issued the following statement announcing $2 million Transportation Department grant award to the Mobile Downtown Airport to repair the airport's apron:
"This second large grant in a week awarded to the Mobile Downtown Airport is further validation of the role this facility will play in the surging economic development of Southwest Alabama.
With these funds, our downtown airport can more quickly take significan . . .
