N.C. Department of Public Safety: $6 Million Approved for Mold Remediation Costs at Pender County Schools

RALEIGH, North Carolina, Sept. 24 -- The North Carolina Department of Public Safety issued the following news release:

The State of North Carolina and FEMA are announcing more than $6.5 million to the Pender County Board of Education for Hurricane Florence-related cleaning costs.

The funds reimburse mold remediation at Pender County elementary, middle and high schools that flooded during Hurricane Florence. The mold removal eliminated health and safety threats so stude . . .
