WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release:
Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded $1,443,744 to three fire departments in Southeast Ohio for operations and safety, recruitment and retention, and hiring of firefighters through the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) and Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Program. Those awards include:
