Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded $3,610,934 to thirteen fire departments in Northeast Ohio for operations and safety, a regional request, and hiring of firefighters through the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) and Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Program. Those awards include:
