WASHINGTON, Sept. 19 -- Rep. Charlie Crist, D-Florida, issued the following statement on passage of a continuing resolution (H.R. 4378) to avoid a government shutdown through Nov. 21:
The "continuing resolution" which passed the House by a vote of 301-123, also extends critical programs that were otherwise due to expire at the end of the month, including the National Flood Insurance Program and Community Health Centers.
