CAMDEN, New Jersey, Sept. 19 -- The U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, Craig Carpenito, issued the following news release:
The chief executive officer of a private equity investment firm today admitted he defrauded an investor of $1.35 million dollars, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.
Karl James, 48, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Joseph H. Rodriguez in Camden federal court to an information that charged him with one count of wire fraud.
