WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- Rep. Steve Chabot, R-Ohio, a senior member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, chairman emeritus of the Asia and Pacific Subcommittee and founder and co-chair of the Congressional Taiwan Caucus, issued the following statement on regarding the Solomon Islands' decision to end diplomatic relations with Taiwan:
