WASHINGTON, Sept. 13 -- Rep. Jesus Chuy Garcia, D-Illinois, issued the following statement regarding the Supreme Court's decision to allow the Trump administration to deny asylum requests from migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border:
"I strongly disagree with the Supreme Court's decision to allow the Trump Administration to enforce new restrictions on asylum seekers at our southern border. This decision reverses decades of U.S. policy of welcoming and protecting refugees whose lives . . .
