WASHINGTON, Sept. 12 -- Sen. Thom Tillis, R-North Carolina, issued the following statement applauding President Trump's repeal of the Obama-era waters of the U.S. rule:
"I applaud President Trump and Administrator Wheeler for finalizing Step 1 of the WOTUS repeal. Since I got to the Senate, I've been fighting against the Obama administration's WOTUS rule, which would have imposed crippling red-tape on North Carolina's farmers and small businesses.
