FRANKLIN, Pennsylvania, Sept. 2 -- Rep. Glenn Thompson, R-Pennsylvania, issued the following statement after attending a rally at the courthouse in Franklin in response to the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services' decision to close the Polk State Center, an immediate care facility for people with intellectual disabilities, in Venango County:
"For more than 120 years, the Polk Center has served as a safe haven and community for thousands of individuals with intellectual dis . . .
