WACO, Texas, Sept. 2 -- The American Football Coaches Association issued the following news:
North Dakota State started the 2019 season the same way it ended the 2018 season, with a win. The Bison defeated Butler by a score of 57-10 to remain perfect in its last 18 games and stay No. 1 in the AFCA FCS Coaches' Top 25 Poll. North Dakota State received 25 of the 26 first-place votes.
James Madison, who lost to West Virginia, 20-13, received the only other first-place vote . . .
