LOUISVILLE, Kentucky, Aug. 28 -- Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, issued the following statement regarding the announcement from Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Georgia, that he will be retiring at the end of 2019:
"Today, the Senate learned with regret that one of our hardest-working friends and colleagues, Senator Johnny Isakson, has chosen to retire at the end of this year. It's been an honor to serve alongside Johnny. I could not be more grateful for his principle . . .
