PSA: Rabies Present in Wildlife Near Lake Lanier

MOBILE, Alabama, Aug. 27 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issued the following news release:

The Georgia Department of Public Health recently detected the rabies virus among wildlife in Forsyth County, Georgia near U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District's Lake Lanier Project. A raccoon in the area of Sweetwater Drive and Buford Dam Road tested positive for rabies.

USACE Mobile District encourages anyone visiting recreation areas at Lake Lanier, and other Corps . . .
