Rep. Shalala Issues Statement on Trump Administration's Indefinite Family Incarceration Rule

MIAMI, Florida, Aug. 21 -- Rep. Donna Shalala, D-Florida, issued the following statement in response to the Trump administration announcing that it will formally move to end the Flores settlement agreement, a long-established set of protections for migrant children and their parents that, among other things, limits how long the government may hold them in detention:
