WASHINGTON, Aug. 16 -- The U.S. Department of Transportation's Surface Transportation Board issued the following notice of exemption (Docket No. FD 36339) entitled "Wisconsin Rapids Railroad, L.L.C. Lease and Operation Exemption Line of Wisconsin Central Ltd.":

Wisconsin Rapids Railroad, L.L.C. (WRR), a noncarrier, has filed a verified notice of exemption under 49 C.F.R. Sec. 1150.31 to lease from Wisconsin Central Ltd. (WCL) and operate approximately 1.1 miles of rail lin . . .
