WASHINGTON, Aug. 12 -- Sen. James M. Inhofe, R-Oklahoma, issued the following news release:
U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) praised the EPA for granting 31 small refinery exemptions (SRE) in accordance with the law on Friday. These exemptions help small, local refiners deal with outdated, burdensome regulations under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS).
Furthermore studies done by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign show that retroactive SREs do not harm ethano . . .
