CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, Aug. 8 -- The Consumer Choice Center issued the following statement by Deputy Director Yael Ossowski on spirituous liquor sales:

Last night, the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners voted 7-2 to continue supporting North Carolina's monopoly on spirituous liquor sales.
