WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 -- Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-West Virginia, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) announced her support for the Empowering Olympic and Amateur Athletes Act of 2019, which was introduced by U.S. Senators Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.). The bipartisan legislation would reform the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) in response to findings of systemic abuse within the U.S. Olympic movement. . . .
