WASHINGTON, Aug. 4 -- Rep. Joyce Beatty, D-Ohio, issued the following statement after the shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio:
"My heart and prayers are with all those impacted by the shootings in my hometown of Dayton and in El Paso.
"In less than 24 hours, two communities have been flung into chaos, many innocent people have lost their lives, and many more have been injured.
"While we pray for the victims, their family and friends . . .
