WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 -- Sen. Christopher Murphy, D-Connecticut, issued the following statement after President Trump's address to the nation after the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, that left at least 31 people dead and dozens more injured:
