ORLANDO, Florida, Aug. 2 -- The Florida Senate issued the following news release:
Senator Linda Stewart (D-Orlando) in a letter called upon Governor Ron DeSantis to halt the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of Refugee Resettlement's exploratory assessment of Central Florida properties.
Senator Stewart requested that the Governor use his influence and authority to steer away another immigration facility from the state.
