WASHINGTON, Aug. 1 -- Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, majority administrative co-chairman of the Senate National Security Working Group, issued the following statement as the U.S. withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty enters into effect on Aug. 2:
In February 2019, all 29 member states of NATO unanimously endorsed the U.S. decision to begin the six-month process to withdraw from the INF Treaty in response to Russia's material breach of the agreement.
