WASHINGTON, July 31 -- Sens. Richard J. Durbin, D-Illinois, and Tammy Duckworth, D-Illinois, issued the following joint statement after the Senate confirmed the nominations of Martha M. Pacold and Mary M. Rowland to serve as district judges on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, based in Chicago:
