Consumer Choice Center: A CBD and Hemp Ban in NC Would Be Bad for Consumers and Farmers

RALEIGH, North Carolina, July 29 -- The Consumer Choice Center issued the following news release:

A committee in the North Carolina House has expedited a proposal to ban smokeable hemp (such as CBD) beginning in 2019 rather than 2020. It will be debated tomorrow in the House Judiciary Committee.

The NC House Agricultural Committee approved the change earlier this month, citing the difficulties law enforcement will face distinguishing between legal marijuana and hemp wit . . .
