WASHINGTON, July 24 -- Rep. W. Greg Steube, R-Florida, issued the following statement on the proposed budget agreement:
"I cannot in good conscience vote for a budget proposal that would add over $300 billion in new spending with zero offsets.
"For too long we have kicked the can down the road when it comes to our ever-growing national debt, and though I am pleased by the reversal of the sequester that would try to balance the budget on the backs of our milit . . .
