WASHINGTON, July 2 -- Rep. Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, issued the following statement after President Trump signed into law the Taxpayer First Act:
The Taxpayer First Act includes the legislation Congressman Wenstrup introduced with Congressman Danny Davis (D-IL), the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Permanence Act (H.R. 1875). H.R. 1875 makes the VITA matching grant program permanent, ensuring VITA sites can continue to provide quality tax-filing services.
