ANNAPOLIS, Maryland, June 26 -- The Maryland Democratic Party issued the following statement regarding the SCOTUS ruling on electoral maps in Maryland and North Carolina:
"In a 5-4 decision Chief Justice John Roberts wrote on behalf of the majority, "We conclude that partisan gerrymandering claims present political questions beyond the reach of the federal courts."
